Manacá chair
The Manacá chair, designed for outdoor use, is available in versions with and without armrests. It draws inspiration from Brazil's rich tradition of hand-weaving natural fibers. This influence is evident in the backrest and seat, which are woven in a zigzag pattern using nautical ribbon. The result is a unique visual effect, as the ribbons intersect to form surfaces that create a sense of three-dimensionality.
The structure is made of cumaru, an extremely dense wood whose resistance allows the design to be lightweight, with slim profiles and minimal use of raw materials.
The Manacá chair gave us great satisfaction: it was awarded the iF Design Award 2024, one of the most prestigious design awards in the world.
Launched in 2023 by Marê Mobília.
